Types of thin-section bearings

Dec 29, 2023

Firstly, Thin-walled ball bearings with equal cross-sections, specifically:

1. Deep groove ball bearing: a single row deep groove ball bearing with ultra-deep grooves on the inner and outer rings (raceway groove depth = 25% of ball diameter).

2. Angular contact ball bearings: Type A bearings have sufficient radial clearance and can form sufficient contact angles to withstand axial loads. Due to its unidirectional load capacity, this bearing needs to be mounted in symmetrical pairs with other bearings to set and maintain the contact angle while minimizing axial movement when subjected to alternating axial loads.

3. Four-point contact ball bearings: The difference between X-type four-point angular contact ball bearings and AC-type bearings is the shape of their ball grooves. The deep groove ball bearings and four-point contact structure enable the bearings to withstand radial and axial loads as well as torque loads, similar to a pair of A-shaped bearings in a back-to-back combination.

Secondly, Crossed roller bearings of equal cross-section have cylindrical rollers arranged crosswise on the V-shaped raceway, and the rollers are separated by isolation blocks. This structure of cross-arranged rollers allows a single bearing to withstand the axial load, radial load and overturning moment.

Special bearings for harmonic reducers are mainly composed of three basic components: harmonic generator, flexspline, and rigid spline. There are rigid bearings and flexible bearings.

In addition, equal-section thin-wall bearings are also divided into open series and sealed series, with inner diameters ranging from 1 inch to 40 inches, and cross-sectional dimensions ranging from 0.1875"X0.1875" to 1.000"X1.000". There are three types of open series: radial contact (type C), angular contact (type A) and four-point contact (type type). Materials include bearing steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.

Dec 14, 2023
The deep groove ball bearing is a kind of rolling bearing with most representatives, and it has features of small friction coefficient, high limiting speeds, simple structure, low cost, and high manufacturing precision. It has various sizes and structures, and is used in precision instruments, low noise motors, automobiles, motorcycles and general machinery industries, and a kind of bearing with most applications in the machinery industry. The bearing can bear mainly the radial load, but also can bear a certain axial load.
Advantages and Applications of Crossed Roller Bearings
Nov 29, 2023
Advantages of crossed roller bearings include: 1. Strong load-bearing capacity: It can withstand large radial and axial loads, and it can also withstand a certain tilt force. 2. Good rigidity: Due to the use of cross-arranged rollers, it has high rigidity and can ensure that excessive deformation and vibration will not occur during high-speed rotation.
